Barton Laws is the name of the Football playing fields owned and managed by Wigton Town Council. We were engaged by WTC to rationalise a previous scheme and carryout a full service of design through to completion. The scheme replaces the existing poor quality changing facility and public toilets (see attached). Following a revised planning application, discharge of conditions and project was put out to tender. After a delayed start work commenced on site in January 2021 and was completed on time and budget by September 2021 despite working through various storms, site flooding and Covid -19 complications
The building comprises of changing facilities for two football teams and officials – changing and showers, community room with kitchen and store and Public Male, Female and Disabled Toilet facilities. The building is built above the defined flood line hence the ramps and steps into the facility.
